SABET IN TOKYO! EXCITING TIMES!

Hello Everyone! I have some really exciting news to share with you. I have been selected to showcase my work at the 2016 Tokyo International Art Fair this May.

Being part of this global art show in Tokyo Japan is an incredible honor and will increase my exposure to global art collectors. Since this is my first international art fair, I will be documenting the entire event on film and invite you to be part of my journey. To showcase this new and exciting chapter in my career, I will be posting 5 original “Sabet in Tokyo” inspired pieces each day. These are one of a kind Originals. Hand painted and signed works that will be online for sale at Aliabet.com.

How this works is really simple. Each day, 5 people will be able to buy my original work starting at $25 on the first day and increasing $25 each day until I leave for Japan. Since these are hand signed originals, once they're gone- that’s it- they are gone!!! Each day at 12:00 Pacific Standard Time, I will release the next set of 5 originals. I want you to be part of this journey, as well as capture the value of my work at a fraction of the art dealer price. The way of Love not Tacos // 2015 Sabet // When I was younger I found a certain level of peace in eating. Overeating. The feeling right after was never that good, but chasing down anxiety with 99cent burritos from Taco Bell was the only way I knew how to quite the noise. Figures my first job out of college would be a designer on the Taco Bell account! I still love Taco Bell, I just don't go there anymore. It's amazing how your relationship with food can dictate so much in your life.

Essentially

I'm here to create. At times I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to create, but I do it anyway. Purpose therefore is much less important than creating. I have created many pieces that had no directed purpose at the time, yet they had to show up and become form. The final work is much less important than the act itself. The process used as a vessel for time travel. This might seem short sighted, but if you don't create from this space then the end result will be lackluster and Essentially PURPOSE-less.
